DecisionPoint Announces Grapevine(TM) Push-to-Talk Blackberry Client

"Always On" Worldwide Push-to-Talk System Now Available on Blackberry Mobile Devices

FOOTHILL RANCH, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 08/08/11 -- DecisionPoint Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: DPSI), a leading provider of field-based workforce automation solutions, today announced the release of the much anticipated Grapevine Push-to-Talk Blackberry client. Grapevine is DecisionPoint's cloud-based Push-to-Talk software, a worldwide communication system that is "always on," enabling instant voice communication over a range of mobile devices and PCs.

Grapevine delivers Push-to-Talk capability over the Internet and across disparate carrier and Wi-Fi networks with no delays in voice delivery. It keeps workforces connected no matter how widely dispersed, enabling users to improve their communications while reducing costs.

Grapevine Push-to-Talk is a cloud-based, worry-free Software as a Service (SaaS) product. There are no servers to set up and maintain, just improved communications. Grapevine is ideal for immediate communications between dispatch and field workers, is highly scalable and supports communication among up to 5,000 individuals and 100 participants at once in a group. Key features include high-quality voice with audio alerts plus a private and secure network with voice encryption and sub-second transmission.

The new Grapevine Blackberry client builds on the success of the Windows Mobile client that DecisionPoint announced in February 2011. The Blackberry client is interoperable with the Windows Mobile client. This fulfills the needs of customers requiring instant communications between field workers equipped with rugged Windows Mobile devices and managers with consumer devices.

"Including a Blackberry client in the Grapevine list of supported devices is a significant step forward for the product offering as managers can now access their employees closed loop communication system from their Blackberry," said Brent Felker, VP Field Mobility Solutions for DecisionPoint Systems. "Since its introduction Grapevine users have been asking for a client that will enable their managers and dispatchers to use the system when away from their offices. This is that client."
